Hello Managers!

Welcome to the 2020 PONY Baseball season!! Thank you so much for volunteering your time...your commitment to the kids and their families, and our league, is much appreciated!!!

As a reminder, the Concussion, Heat Illness Prevention, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest certs need to be renewed every 2 years. All three links are listed individually below (the links will also be available on our league's homepage soon)...however, clicking on any one will take you to the NFHS website where you will sign in or register in the upper right corner of the page. Once logged in you can select your state and "order" the free course. You can "continue shopping" and add all three courses to your dashboard before beginning the training. It shouldn't take more than about 1.5 hours to complete all three courses (approximate times: Concussion=45min, Heat Illness Prevention=30min, Sudden Cardiac Arrest=15min). It is a simple program and your progress is saved...so if you get interrupted by work or kids, no problem! :)

Once you have completed the training, your certifications are saved in a national database. Therefore, there is no need for you to send me your cert! I can simply look up your name and see whether or not you have completed the required training (that means I can easily stalk the slackers). Ahahahahahaha! :)

If you completed any of these trainings during, or prior to, the 2018 season you need to retake them. If one or more cert is outdated and renews differently than the others, I highly recommend that you retake them all so that all three of your certs renew at the same time (especially if you plan to continue to coach in the coming years). If you choose not to you will still be in compliance this year but it will make it easier for you, and me, if everything renews in the same year.

Please pass this info on to your Coaches as they are also required to complete this training (I completed the spreadsheets using the info in our roster database -- the coaching staff is still be compiled, which is why many spaces are blank).

These certs MUST BE COMPLETED prior to taking the field with your team!

Certifications need to be completed by Saturday February 1st.
